It’s a bird! … It’s a plane! … (3)

I finally received the modeling plywood I ordered. I tried cutting the required shapes on the lasercutter, but once again a layer of glue must have prevented the laser from cutting all the way through. It’s really annoying seeing a 40W laser having that much trouble with a piece of wood of merely 1.6mm in thickness… In the following picture, you can clearly see the laser not getting past the first ply. I mean come on… what do they use to glue this stuff together? Nokia’s?

I decided to go the easy way and cut everything on the SO2, so I could finally start building the wings. This is how far I got by the end of the day.  Not that this is so much work, but letting it dry everytime before proceeding to a next step just is very time-consuming…
