Last year I traveled to Peru. As always i bought way to much crap in the souvenir shops. One of those things was a 3-dollar yellow slingshot. Boys and their toys i guess :-). After about ten shots with it, I broke the rubberband fixture. Go figure…

So instead of tossing the thing away, i brought it home and decided to make a proper slingshot. The pouch/rubberband were surprisingly usable.

I knew there was a fairly well-known design floating around the internet called the ‘Rambone’. So to get re-acquainted with my machine (I had just done some major mods) I had a stab at it.

The result was pleasing, although I broke it fairly soon afterwards. Turned out there was a fault in the wood near the fork which I missed during fabrication. Oh well lesson learned and on to the next slingshot!
