I did some sanding on the slingshot, but the more I handle it, the dirtier it becomes…
This picture illustrates the difference between an unhandled piece and the one I’ve sanded.
I may try to mill off 0.5mm with the ballmill to get it back to pristine status. But for the moment I won’t take rash decisions as I’m weighing my options.
If anyone knows a way to get it clean again, let me know!
If the color is wax based you might be able to clean it up with some isopropyl alcohol.
thanks, I’ll give it a try. I even thought about using bleach. Also sandblasting came to mind. I just don’t want to make it worse
