Cat doorway v2

A few years back, I did this project once before. It held up for a while, but I ended up taking it down again after some weather abuse. Using plywood wasn’t really the best idea to begin with i guess… So time for a new one!

Since I took the other one away, I just left the hole in my fence open, so the cat could still pass. The problem: 1. it wasn’t pretty. 2. the ponies in the neighbouring field stuck their head through the hole eating my grass. Not that I mind that per sé, but they were doing damage to the fence.

I used a HDPE cutting board this time. I bought it a while back at a flea market for 50 cents or so. I tweaked the design slightly, and made the hole a fair bit larger because my cat isn’t as skinny as he used to be ;-).

Cutting HDPE is a dream. Smooth as butter. The cat is happy, and the pony, well he’s going to have to find another fresh source of grass.
