Random filler projects

The photo above is a temperature reading of my laser cooling fluid. Note that the laser hasn’t been fired for weeks. It’s just that damn hot in Belgium right now …

Seeing that the ambient temperature in my workshop is this high, I’m not spending much quality time there these days. So that should explain why updates are slow on the blog. But here’s two small projects (just to get something out there) that didn’t really deserve a dedicated blog post anyways.

The following is a box I made for a fellow maker who didn’t have access to a cnc. I was hoping he’d send me pictures of the final product but he didn’t so I guess these will have to do. It was supposed to be some kind of BlueTooth speaker that goes on a bike IIRC.

My orbital sander had been broken for a while. With some tinkering I came to the conclusion that the speed control circuit was the culprit, so I reverse engineered the PCB and ordered some replacement components. And guess what, I actually got it to work again!

That’s it for now πŸ˜‰
