A few months back, I bought a used cnc lathe. It is a converted C6 that -sadly- has been collecting dust since. You know how it goes, life gets in the way sometimes.

Included in the deal, I got a shitload of accessories, cutters and stock material.

Finally I had some time setting everything up and was eager to run a first job on it. I modeled the most random object I could come up with within 60 seconds. The material wasn’t the best (I think it is delrin) because it is very ‘stringy’, but I wanted a soft material for my first cut. Everything seems to work, except the job stalled mid-cut (didn’t do the finishing pass), which probably is just the demo limitation of mach3 acting up. Anyway it seems I am set up to do some serious damage with this new friend of mine.
